By accepting this Policy, you agree to let us collect, use and disclose information about you in accordance with the purposes listed below.

What information do you provide when using our Services?

Ordering Products. We collect information you provide directly to us when ordering our Services. Such information may include your name, email address, physical address, phone number or other information you choose to provide.

Setting Up an Account/Profiles. We also collect information from parents/guardians when setting up their Gululu account and any child Profiles. We may collect an email address from parents or guardians to create their account. We will send an email in order to obtain consent from the parent or guardian to our data use practices. After consenting, a parent may provide the following information about their child – nickname, gender, birthdate, weight, and daily water intake goal – as part of creating a child Profile. Parents have the option of uploading a photo of a child to use with a Profile.

Support Requests. If you contact our Customer Support through the Services or the Sites, we will receive your email address along with any additional personal information that you provide to us as part of your inquiry. This information will only be used to respond to your support inquiry.

Children's Privacy Disclosure. We sell children's products for purchase by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without the verifiable consent of the child's parent or guardian, as required under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, and in accordance with, and subject to any other applicable law and regulation.

What information is collected automatically when using our Services?

Your child’s Gululu water bottle collects data to track their approximate water intake while using the bottle. Initially, a parent or guardian will need to pair the Gululu bottle with the app by connecting to the bottle and configuring the Wi-Fi settings. When the water bottle syncs with our app, such data on the device is transferred to our secured servers.  The water bottle does not include GPS or other features that use precise location data.   We do not collect any location tracking data from the bottle.

In addition to the above, we may also obtain information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through our Services. For example, when you access the account via the mobile device, we may automatically collect information about account connectivity such as router related information, Internet Protocol (IP) address and approximate location information derived from your IP address, access times, browser type and language, operating system, and app and mobile device information (including cookies). We do not collect the water bottle’s IP address.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, or for other purposes, as follows:

  • To provide, maintain and improve our current Services;
  • To personalize user’s experience;
  • To develop new services or features;
  • To understand your needs and provide you with better service;
  • To respond to your comments, questions and requests, such as providing customer service and technical support;

  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of our business, our customers or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction;
  • For any other purpose (i) disclosed by us when you provide the information; and/or (ii) with your prior consent (or in the case of children (if applicable), after we first obtain the prior verifiable consent of the parent or guardian).
  • How do we protect visitor information?

    We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

    We implement a variety of other security measures when a user places an order, enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

    Do we use ‘cookies’?

    Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your mobile device (if you allow) that enables the site or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

    For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. They are also used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current Sites’ activity, which enables us to provide you with improved services. We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about Sites’ traffic and interaction so that we can offer to our users better experiences and tools in the future. We use cookies to understand and save user’s preferences for future visits. We may also use trusted third party services that track this information on our behalf.

    Third Party Disclosure

    We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to independent third parties your personal information unless we provide you with advance written notice, or in the case of children (if and when applicable), we first obtain the prior verifiable consent of a parent or guardian.

    However, we may share information with vendors, website hosting partners, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf or otherwise assist us in operating our website or conducting our business, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential and have no independent right to use the information. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our Sites’ policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.

    However, please note we may share non-personally identifiable visitor information, de-identified or aggregate information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify users, in our sole discretion, including for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

    Third party links and Social Sharing Features

    Our Sites may include links to our social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.

    Our Services may also include links to our social media pages. They are located in areas of the app intended for parents and include gating features to keep children from discovering these links. These links do not offer social sharing features and other integrated tools, which could let you share actions you take on our Sites or Services with other media, and vice versa, they are simply links to our social media pages.

    For the avoidance of any doubt, we do not share any personal identifiable information, including children’s personal information, with such social media operators.
